Baking Recipes Are Like Love

A couple weeks ago, I baked a strawberry layered cake. Just putting this out there: if anyone has any great baking recipes they wouldn't mind sharing with me, feel free to write back :) Anyways, not trying to tie this to an emotional relation but, baking made me think... baking is so much like love. It takes time, effort and messy work. I honestly feel that the most common factor that baking and love share, is how tedious it is. It becomes such a drag. All the mixing, all the steps you have to follow. Also, it's straight out of the book. You have to follow the recipe. In love, it's like, you have to do this, you have to do that. And if you don't follow the steps properly you're supposed to end up with an ugly, bad tasting result. Like, are you serious? Why does every relationship have to be cookie cutter shaped? Why is it that when you don't follow the recipe, it's wrong? Shouldn't we just consider it improvisation or a step forward? Ugh, sorry... i had to let it out. Whatever. the strawberry cake was good.
